But I’m grateful for an update of any kind, and this is the most promising thing they’ve given us, outside of the original trailer 4 years ago. I’m certainly not confident enough in this company to pre-order the game and trust that I’m not wasting my money. It’s frustrating feeling like I can’t be fully excited about the game, but with the company’s history with this game, I’m honestly not convinced that this release date confirms that the game is definitely coming out. I also haven’t forgotten that our Nancy isn’t the Nancy in this game Lani’s voice will be desperately missed, and I anticipate having difficulty believing in this Nancy in the same way. I will say that I’m cautiously excited about this game, but my excitement doesn’t negate my disappointment in the company’s PR and lack of response to legitimate questions. The game clearly works better as a fall release, but it’s a bummer they couldn’t release it 3 weeks earlier for Halloween. On the other, they lied again and didn’t even acknowledge that part. On one hand, I’m excited that there seems to be an actual game for us to play. I have a lot of conflicting emotions about this.
